illustration for my mens wear

My men's wear was based around not taking yourself to seriously. That you can look smart and professional but still have fun! Life to full of doom and gloom to take to seriously. I made a suit jacket, complete with shirt and trousers.

The tailored jacket is lined with silver lining to reflect that every cloud has a silver lining. I teamed up with a close friend who does surface pattern  (this is a link to her blog) and used some of her prints. Her prints illustrated how we use camouflage to fit in to our surrounding. her illustrations are humours and worked really well with my project.
I played around with the cut of the fabrics. specially on the shirt which if stared at for to long looks very different. The colour of the shirt collar and yoke is cut from tie silk to play on a tie around your neck.

The stitching to keep the pockets shape is still on the jacket. This will be taken out when the Jacket is ready to wear.
My final illustration for this project.
